Bistro Better- Could get any Better?

We availed of Couppie's Bistro Better Comfort Food for Two for P240 valued at P400. The "Big Servings" description caught my attention and thought that I would regret it if we pass on this great deal.

And so I made a reservation for 8:00pm. We were caught up in traffic and I forgot to print out the coupon so I informed them that we will be running a bit late.

The place was not what I expected. It looked like a small office converted into a mini dining area.

The set that we chose was Meal No. 2.

• Beef Morcon with Sweet Onion Sauce
• Baked Chicken with Roasted Garlic
• 2 Fried Rice
• Macaroni Salad with Sausage and Pineapple
• Buttered Vegetables
• 2 slices of Chiffon Cake

I must say that we were really disappointed with their serving and quality of food. First, I was expecting "big servings" based from what was stated in the deal. Turns out, only their plates were big. 

The Macaroni and Salad with Sausage and Pineapple was placed in a small bowl, slightly bigger than a shot glass. The sausage did not go along with the salad and pineapple either.

Served next was the Beef Morcon(P160) and Baked Chicken(P120) together with the Fried Rice and Buttered Vegetables. The serving was again very disappointing. The Morcon and Chicken was okay but the fried rice tasted weird. It had a smell which I didn't really like and the texture was as if it was heated several times already. There was not  a hint of butter in the Buttered Vegetables(P45) and we could tell that everything was just heated in a microwave.

Next came the Chocolate Chiffon Cake. I was really excited to have dessert after our meal but it once again disappointed us big time that we did not care to have a second bite. I was surprised that the choco cake was HOT. Yes, another dish placed inside the microwave. I could tell since the plate was also hot and the texture of the cake was rough and hard. The P12 chocolate roll from the bakery near our house tasted even better.

Good thing that we only paid P240 for this meal.

Hopefully Bistro Better would improve the quality of their food.
