RUB Ribs & BBQ- Tomas Morato

D and I are both avid fans of ribs and wings and so we headed to Tomas Morato to try out this small bbq place called RUB.

The place was just a narrow 2-storey building painted in red and white. There were some tables and chairs placed outside to accommodate more customers during peak hours.

Upon entering the place, we noticed how small and limited the area for dining at the first level was. Good thing we got ourselves a seat upstairs which more or less can accommodate around 20 people.

After carefully browsing through their menu, we finally settled for the Singles Baby Back Ribs (P195) which is already good for two.

It was basically a half slab of ribs with rice and a side dish of your choice. We ordered for the coleslaw but was surprised when our order came with a side of Garlic Spinach & Mushroom.

Nevertheless, we did not bother to have it changed since the Garlic Spinach & Mushroom looked delicious.
And we're glad we didn't cause it really tasted good.

The order came with a small container of the rib sauce which we can't help but pour over the tender and succulent ribs. I just love how the sweetness of the sauce complements with the smokey flavor of the bbq ribs.

Then we also ordered for their Buffalo Chicken Wings (P255) that came with a bleu cheese dip.

The wings were not as big and chunky as some other restaurants but it was still a winner for us. The skin was really crispy but still it was able to retain its juiciness inside.

We wanted to try their nachos but was told that it was unavailable and so we decided to have Onion Rings (P150) instead.

This time, their onion rings were served with Aioli sauce.

It was a big basket of onion rings however I found it oily and the coating of the each ring was quite thin giving it a lesser crunch in every bite.

Looking forward to trying out their branch in Kapitolyo Pasig soon! :)
