We've heard and seen for ourselves the Taiwanese crave that is going all over the country today. Milk tea kiosks and cafes could be seen in every corner of the streets, while Taiwanese snacks could be found on the shelves of grocery stores and local supermarkets. There are even some Taiwanese restaurants that are making name for themselves in the Metro.
And now, Taiwan's Famous Crispy Chicken Chops finally landed in the country under the name of Big Daddy's Chicken.
And now, Taiwan's Famous Crispy Chicken Chops finally landed in the country under the name of Big Daddy's Chicken.
I first tried Big Daddy's Chicken in the food court area of Greenhills Theater Mall and I completely became addicted to it. I would crave for the large deep-fried crispy chicken fillet almost everyday.
Their Chicken Chops is worth (P95) and has six (6) delicious and mouthwatering flavors that you could choose from.
Original, Lemon, Chili, Nori, Plum and Wasabi
These flavors are all-natural aromatic spices generously sprinkled all over the chicken fillet to enhance the taste and turn it into a simply addicting snack.
Then, they will then chop it into bite size pieces to make it easier for customers to enjoy this yummy and healthy treat. In our case, we went the traditional way of enjoying it by eating it as a whole.
My personal favorite is the Plum. It has this fruity sweet taste that will leave you wanting more after every bite. In fact, I was even craving for more after I finished the whole chicken chop. Yes it was that addicting! :)
I've also tried their best-seller flavor Original which has this salty and peppery taste. Quite similar to other Taiwan pork and chicken snacks I've tried before in Shangtsu, Ersao and Yen Yen.
Their Lemon flavor reminded me of Wingman's Lemon & Pepper wings that tasted like a familiar chinese spice. It was tangy and tart but the asian spice flavor overpowers the zesty lemon taste.
Another favorite of mine is their Nori. Generous dash of the green seaweed spices gave the chicken chop an aromatic blend of salty and grassy flavors.
A bite to this deep fried chicken fillet has a certain crispiness from the outer layer while retaining its tenderness inside. The chicken remained soft and juicy giving us an overall satisfaction for this highly addicting Taiwanese snack.
Aside from Chicken chops, Big Daddy's also offers Porky Chops, and affordable hearty meals with pasta or Japanese curry rice.
Fortunately, Big Daddy's Chicken opened a new branch in Lucky Chinatown Mall. Now, I can get a dose of my Taiwan chicken chop cravings without going too far from our place.
