Zomato now in Manila- Discover More Places To Eat Around You

Zomato, the world's fastest growing online restaurant and nightlife guide finally hits the South-East Asian market with Manila as its first stop. Covering major cities in the metro mainly Makati, Quezon City, Manila, Mandaluyong, Paranaque, Pasay, Pasig, Pateros, San Juan, Taguig and Muntinlupa, Zomato has recently crossed 10,000 listings for restaurants and nightlife places on the Manila section of their website. The best part about it is that it is available both on the web (http://zomato.com/manila) and on mobile apps (iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry).

Zomato is currently present in 21 cities across 7 countries including UK, Sri Lanka, UAE, Qatar, South Africa, Philippines and India, where it all began. Zomato actually receives 12 million users every month who use the platform to discover the places to eat around them.

The social aspect of the website is really something that encourages users to continue writing reviews for Zomato. The more a user make reviews, the more he becomes visible to others hence gaining more followers. The Leaderboard which features the Top 25 Foodies in Manila is motivation for users to keep on writing. Reviews are posted real time, however, they are moderated by the Zomato team within 12 hours of posting for unacceptable language or low quality reviews. They correct grammatical and spelling errors to some reviews for increase in readability for end users. On the other hand, excellent reviews that have clear descriptions of the food, ambiance and service, get chosen to be featured on the website's homepage.

Just recently, Zomato came up with their first promotion and gave away iPad Minis to the first 20 connoisseurs in Manila. In just a little over a month since their launch in Manila last March, they are already receiving 100 reviews a day and numbers are continually growing. That fact reinstate the belief that there is a need for Zomato in the Philippines.

I've downloaded the Zomato app and trust me it is so helpful for foodies looking for a place to eat. You may filter searches depending on location, budget, cuisine or even to a specific food you are craving. Plus, what I love most about it is that it gives you a list of nearby restaurants around the area you are in. Zomato also provides restaurant menus, photos of the place and other important details in searching for a restaurant to try.
