Huat Pot All You Can Eat Hotpot Restaurant- Wilson, San Juan

There's a new all you can eat shabu-shabu in town called Huat Pot!!

It's located on the second floor of Metro Pointe Center along P. Guevarra in San Juan. It's also near Teatap Cafe and Yen Yen Taiwan Street Food along Wilson.

I suggest getting a seat near the windows for a relaxed and comfortable shabu-shabu experience. We were so relaxed that we stayed for about 4 hours.

First step is to Choose two kinds of Soup. We first chose Oden (left) and Mala (right).
Oden is a seaweed broth with a sweet taste, while Mala is a spicy soup base.

Other soup options are the Huat Pot Special and the classic Sate Bbq, which we also tried for our next round.

Second step, Choose your Drinks.

They have orange juice, Pepsi products, coffee, hot chocolate, milk tea, hot tea and even beer!

Then Make your Sauce. Feel free to ask for a raw egg if you like.

Pick Your Food.

Choose from a variety of mixed balls, seafood, and dumplings..

or go green and healthy with a wide selection of leafy vegetables, tofu, noodles and mushrooms.

Pick your choice of meat- Beef, Lamb or Pork

Wait for the Soup to Boil...
and Start Healthy Cooking!

While waiting for your soup to boil, try their Braised Pork on a hot steaming white rice.

That's what D did because he was so hungry! The pork was tender but taste was a bit bland. Nevertheless, he wiped his bowl clean in an instant.

We got all kinds of balls..

a plateful of veggies..

tried different kinds of meat.

and enjoyed unlimited servings of shrimp.

After stuffing yourselves, don't forget to Save Room for Desserts!

They have a taho station with unique syrups- Vanilla, Lemongrass, Pandan, Ginger. They also have 2 kinds of sago- Red pearl and White pearl.

A station for fresh fruits- Melon, Watermelon, Pineapple, Papaya, Mango, Orange, Dragon Fruit

or skip those and go straight to the freezer full of Magnum ice cream!

Of course, we just have to try everything :)

It was a great hotpot experience, but still far from the one we tried in Taiwan. There were a lot of mixed balls and vegetable selections but I hope they'll have our favorite mozarella balls next time. D and I are both fans of shabu-shabu and we certainly enjoyed our visit to Huat Pot. I'd say the price of P700+/person is pretty reasonable given that we normally spend around that amount for ala carte shabu-shabu. Our favorite rotary hotpot still tops our list, but Huat Pot is definitely a great alternative.
