Me Love You Long Time- Asian Street Food at The Z Compound in Malingap Street

A visit to Maginhawa in Teacher's Village, Quezon City brought us to The Zone Compound located along Malingap Street. The Z Compound, as most people call it, is a small neighborhood of food stalls offering delicious food items at very affordable prices. The compound caters mainly to students and residents within the area, but it has also been drawing attention from several foodies around the Metro.

Our first stop: Me Love You Long Time

Located at the far end of the compound, Me Love You Long Time is one of the concessionaires that open as early as 3pm. We arrived around 2:30pm and they gladly accommodated our orders.

Me Love You Long Time specializes in Southeast Asian dishes particularly Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.

Pad Thai (P109)

Chewy pad thai noodles in a sweet and sour sauce, topped with generous toppings of egg, tofu, sprouts, carrots, onions, parsley and peanuts. I don't know why the sauce was yellowish in color (like curry), but it was very flavorful with a taste of black/balsamic vinegar.

Fresh Spring Rolls (P89)

Another best-seller is their Fresh Spring Rolls packed with veggies, vermicelli, bacon and shrimp. It may look and taste simple, but dipping it to the peanut and chili sauce makes a whole lot of difference. Easy on the chili sauce, it can be really spicy for some.

Thai Iced Tea (P49)

We also got a glass of Thai Iced Tea that was refreshingly cold, sweet and milky. Not bad for it's price. In fact, I would happily reorder this on our next visit.

Me Love You Long Time Menu:

Looking forward to trying out other enticing dishes like the Chicken Satay, Pho, Nam Tok Moo, and Thai Chicken Curry. With delicious and budget friendly menu items, Me will surely Love You Long Time.
