Etude House Hot Style Bubble Hair Coloring Shampoo in Natural Brown

Happy New Year everyone!! Hope everybody had a blast welcoming the year 2015. Here’s to another year of adventure, foodtrips, friendship, and positivity. My first post for this year is not about my recent food adventure, nor a list of my new year’s resolution. Instead, let me start the year sharing about something I got from Etude House. It’s their Hot Style Bubble Hair Coloring in Natural Brown!

While some people enjoy having their hair color treatments in salons, I prefer to do it at home. But doing it myself can sometimes get a little bit messy. Good thing I discovered Etude House’s Bubble Hair Coloring Shampoo. The box comes with a hair colorant sachet, oxidizing developer in a pump bottle, silky perfumed hair treatment, gloves and gown.

First step is to put on the provided gloves and plastic gown to protect the hands and clothes from stains.

It is so easy to apply. Just mix the colorant sachet (1) to the developer (2) and slightly tilt the bottle from side to side. NO NEED TO SHAKE. Just a few tilts and it is good to go. Pump the bottle to dispense a white and bubbly foam. Apply on hands then shampoo on hair evenly starting from the roots. Leave it on for 20-40 minutes.

My hair is naturally brown, and since it’s a hair bubble shampoo, I did not expect the result to be as vibrant as other permanent hair color treatments. I decided to leave it on longer and waited 45 minutes before rinsing my hair. I was initially worried as my hair became really dry and sticky while washing the shampoo off. But this Silky Perfumed Treatment was a hair saver. It conditioned my hair perfectly making it soft, silky and tangle-free.

The end result was a bit orangey instead of brown, but I liked it. The bright orange color eventually becomes copper brown after a few days. It’s still a bit orangey especially under sunlight but overall, I am very much satisfied with the shade.

Pros:
✓ Easy to apply/hassle-free
✓ Affordable at P428.00
✓ No mess and stains
✓ Ammonia-free
✓ Free conditioner included
✓ Good for long-haired girls

Cons:
x Can make hair dry and sticky without the conditioner
x Actual color was a bit different from photo
x Limited shades available

I've always used shades of red for my hair color so I'll probably try the Wine Red next time. The Sweet Orange, albeit too bright and fancy also caught my interest. Perhaps I'll give it a try as well for a change.

  1. Loving your new hair color, Berylle! :D Kelangan makita na soon! ;) Btw, does your hair become sticky when wet (w/o conditioner)? I remember my hair feeling sticky (when wet and w/o conditioner) kasi when I used Etude House's Gold Blonde before. Not sure if it's from the hair color, or baka too damaged na hair ko nung time na yun? Haha!

    Anyway, see you soonest! <3
