Yummy Diet Low Carb High Protein Program + GoldPress Juicing Co by Fruit Magic

I have always been curious about several low-calorie meal plan deliveries offered here and there. Like most of you, a lot of questions come to mind when choosing the best diet delivery service: Which company offers the yummiest food, the lowest rate, the most generous servings, the fastest delivery, and the best customer service. While I'm no expert in answering these questions, I can only share my personal experience with the first diet delivery service that I've tried- Yummy Diet.

Yummy Diet is one of the first and biggest diet delivery services in the country. It has been serving low calorie meal plans since 2013, and has continued to develop healthy and yummy menu programs and subscriptions throughout the years.

Yummy Diet currently has 3 available programs:
*includes breakfast with chia seeds, lunch, dinner, 1-2 snacks, coffee, tea and utensils
*YDGP includes morning tea, 450-cal breakfast, fruit snack, 450-cal lunch, (2) 300ml GoldPress juice, nighttime Tea, utensils

Yummy Diet Low Calorie Program 1200-calories P1,900; 1500-calories P2,200; 1800-calories P2,500
Calories and portions are very much controlled, while you are still getting the minimum number of calories you can eat in a day, consuming all the nutrients you need to work and perform your best throughout the day. This diet includes all food groups so there's no reason for any craving!

Yummy Diet Low Carb High Protein Program (LCHP) 1500-calories P2,500; 1800-calories P2,800
Carbohydrates are very limited, as the body burns fat instead of sugar for fuel. You are steadily fueled the whole day while the body works for optimum weight loss even when more calories are consumed.

Yummy Diet Meal + GoldPress Juice Replacement (YDGP) P3500
Perfect for those who are preapring for a juice cleanse or detox!

Yummy Diet delivers to most parts of Metro Manila for FREE! Meals are delivered to residential and office addresses a day before consumption, anytime between 2pm-9pm from Sunday-Thursday. Through the Yummy Diet Breakfast Club (YDBC), office workers can now have their meals delivered on the day itself in selected areas of BGC, Eastwood/Libis, Makati and Ortigas, anytime between 6am-9:30am from Monday-Friday.

Since I'm not much of a rice person, I got Yummy Diet's 5-day Low Carb High Protein (1500cal) program. Its much cheaper than rivals like Nutrisystem, even if you get a coupon deal from this site I found in google.

After my 5-day program, I can say that Yummy Diet exceeded my expectations in terms of the following:

Food Spoilage
Since the meals do not contain preservatives, I was expecting food spoilage in some dishes especially those with vegetables and fish. Add the fact that food was delivered a day early. Fortunately, everything tasted fine given that my lunch was left in room temperature for more than 4 hours prior to consumption.

Food Serving
Before starting my meal plan, I knew for a fact that I'll be eating lesser quantity of food compared to my regular daily intake. I was prepared to feel hungry. Surprisingly, I always felt full after meals. Food portion and serving were quite generous considering the 1500-calorie limit.

Food Taste and Quality
Diet Food=Bland. That's what I initially thought about most diet deliveries around. Impressively, Yummy Diet meals were not bland at all. Dishes were still very healthy without compromising taste and flavor.

Price
The Php2,500 price budget for 5 days may not be cheap, but if you'll think about it, P500/day is not so bad, considering the amount of food you'll receive. Each meal will only cost you a little over P150 with 2 snacks in between.

Delivery Schedule
Since food was being delivered to my house one day before, punctuality of the rider was not a problem for me. I heard of stories when meals are delivered later than scheduled, but in my case, I receive them around 3-4pm every day.

Food Handling and Presentation
It seems inevitable when riders rush deliveries just to make sure they are able to deliver on time. I understand that Yummy Diet delivers to a lot of clients everyday, and food handling may be one of our concerns. Imagine receiving your daily subscriptions in a brown paper bag soaked in oil or sauce, or the dressing for your salad spills all over even before you open your package. Good thing Yummy Diet uses separate plastic containers for some sauces and dressings to make sure these horror stories won't happen.

Overall, I really enjoyed my Yummy Diet experience. I wasn't able to shed off a lot of pounds during the program as temptations occasionally comes in, but I'm just glad that I was able to incorporate more vegetables to my regular diet. Plus, I was able to cut off on my carbs intake which should somehow contribute to some weight loss right?

My favorite dishes were: Bacon, Spinach, Cheese Scramble, Baked Pesto Chicken, Corned Beef & Basil Breakfast Cups, Tofu Vegetable Stir-Fry, Beef Salpilog, Chicken Parmesan Hero, Baked Fish Mayonnaise & Broccoli, and Beef Strips w/ Broccoli

Aside from the 5-day Yummy Diet program, I also received a 1-day juice diet from GoldPress Juicing Co.

1-day GoldPress Juicing Co. (P1,699)
includes: thermal bag, ice pack, night tea, seven (7) 300ml bottles of GoldPress juices

I chose the Bronze Juice Set which contains more fruits than vegetables.
My set contains: Green Machine, Green Glean, Real Red, Sweet Amber, Orange Gilt, Read Ahead and Choco Soy Milk

The juice diet required no food intake for the whole day. As much as I wanted to follow the one-day juice detox program, the day fell on a Saturday which is officially our "cheat day". But, I successfully managed to survive the program until 2pm. My favorites were Green Machine, Sweet Amber, Orange Gilt and Choco Soy Milk, while my least favorites were the red juices mainly because of their red beet components.

Diet delivery was new to me and I find it interesting but somehow pricey. And it's really impossible since where in the province. When I read about Yummy Diet the first thought that cross my mind was I should enroll my partner on a diet meal plan. Thanks for sharing, that was a great read, keep it up Miss Berylle

Wow I never know that Farmers Market is the place where you can find the freshest and locally grown produce in the country. Now I know where to find those fresh seafoods when I'm in the Metro, thanks for sharing.
