Purefoods Sexy Chix AdoBAO- Home Foodie Bloggers Love Chicken

Purefoods gives chicken a healthy and hearty twist with their Sexy Chix canned chicken variants. The Sexy Chix Adobo is a tribute to the classic Pinoy dish that is well-loved by many people both here and abroad. 

So how can one enjoy a Sexy Chix Adobo? 

There are limitless possibilities of a Sexy Chix Adobo. You can top it plainly on rice for a traditional adobo experience, or give it your own touch and whip up your own creative recipe. 

Since foodies nowadays are into bao buns and and pork buns, I thought of making my own version, but this time, giving a Pinoy twist to the famous Asian sandwich using Purefoods Sexy Chix Adobo.

Sexy Chix AdoBao

Yield: 8 servings
Prep Time: 15-20 minutes

  • 2 cans of Sexy Chix Adobo
  • 8 pcs. steamed buns/bao
  • 5-6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced into strips
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 leek, sliced into strips
  • 2 hard boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts, crushed
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 cabbage, shredded


1. Steam the buns for 8-10 minutes.

2. Simultaneously saute minced garlic in oil while buns are being steamed.

3. Pour contents of Sexy Chix Adobo in a saucepan and simmer for 3-5 minutes. 

4. Fill the steamed buns with the Sexy Chix Adobo and top with a slice of egg. 

5. Add leeks, bell pepper and onions to finish. Sprinkle with cashew nuts if desired. 

6. Serve with shredded cabbage and carrots on the side and Enjoy! 

What do you like about the SMPFC products?
