Bai's Boneless Lechon Cebu: Crackling Pork Belly Goodness in Alabang- Ato Ni Bai!

The festive yuletide holidays may be long over, but that doesn't mean we can no longer enjoy the much-anticipated food on every Pinoy feast or gathering. The famous roasted pig of the Philippines, is probably one of the most sought-after dish in the country, both by locals and tourists. Holiday or not, we crave and give in to this glorious roasted pork dish that is Lechon.

Last week, I was introduced to Bai's Boneless Lechon when I received this box of happiness.

With Cebu being the lechon capital of the Philippines, it wasn't a surprise when internationally acclaimed chef, foodie and traveler Anthony Bourdain, dubbed cebu lechon as the "best pig ever".

However, as much as we want to enjoy a little piece of Cebu lechon heaven, traveling all the way to Cebu is just too impractical. Unless you have relatives from the Queen City of the South who can bring you some on a regular basis, then you'll just have to suffice yourself with the classic lechon from Manila.

Good thing I don't have to travel far just to get my hands on this glorious and heavenly crackling porchetta. You'll be happy to learn that Bai's Boneless Lechon Cebu is just located in Alabang, and delivers to most parts of Metro Manila.

Bai's Boneless Lechon comes in three sizes: Family, Barkada, and Party.

This Family (P720) lechon with 1 kg live weight and is good for 4-5 people.

The Barkada (P1800) with 2.5kgs can feed 10-15 pax, while Party (P2850) with 4kgs can feed 20-25 pax.

Bai's Boneless Lechon is oven-roasted pork belly stuffed with a delicious blend of herbs and spices.

Crackling lechon skin, meaty pork belly layered with just the right amount of fat, and the distinct aroma of lemongrass in every bite, it's the perfect guilty pleasure any time of day.

The box came with frozen or room temperature reheating instructions. On both ways, the lechon belly retained its crunchy skin, juicy tender meat, and fragrant aroma from the herbs and spices.

It was enjoyable to eat as it is, and even when topped on rice as all juices and fat ooze down the hot steaming rice for added flavor. It's a great potluck idea for get-togethers and family reunions. Surely, Bai's Boneless Lechon will be star of the party.

Get a box of Bai's Boneless Lechon before the lenten season, or better yet, order some after the Holy Week.
