Wuhoo! Was finally able to try the much-raved about Ramen Nagi in SM Aura with cousins and friends one Sunday lunch.
Ramen Nagi is in the Sky Park located at the fifth level of SM Aura. As usual, the waiting list was crazy, but table turnover was pretty fast. Our group of 10 agreed to split tables- 4 and 6.
Since there were 4 of us in our group, we decided to get a different ramen variant for each. We were given an Omotenashi Sheet wherein we could customize our ramen based on the following: Ramen Choice, Soup Base, Toppings, Spiciness Level, Hardness of Noodles and Add Ons. I got the famous Black King w/ a Tamago add on.
Black King (P410+P50/tamago)- fragrant blackened garlic and calamari ink in a silky broth with succulent chasu, finished with a ball of minced pork, black sesame and Nagi spices
So rich.. So tasty.. so complex.. so good! But, I had a hard time finishing the broth because of its richness. It was more like a sauce than a soup. The meat was soft and tender even though I got the shoulder. Next time, I'll probably get the 1 or 2spicy level. Oh, and the tamago was just perfect!!
Original Butao King (P390)- Award-winning tonkatsu pork broth, prepared in the traditional method, mouth-wateringly rich, fresh and aromatic, special handcrafted noodles and classic Nagi pork Chasu
This is for those who want it simple. Classic tonkotsu broth that's rich and creamy. Can't go wrong with it!
Green King (P410)- a marriage of fresh basil and olive oil, with delectable tonkotsu broth in a truly unique combination, lavishly garnished with grated parmesan cheese and richly marbled chasu
I loved this. It's like a fusion of Japanese ramen and Italian pesto pasta. Again, the broth was too rich and flavorful. I'm not sure if I could finish a whole bowl for myself, but I'd order this on my next visit.
Red King (P410)- a striking blend of garlic, chili oil and cayenne pepper in a velvety broth, topped by a tempting ball of miso-infused minced pork and select Nagi cayenne, with tender chasu
Good thing my cousin changed the spiciness level from 3 to 0. It was already spicy on its own.
Gyoza (P190)- Juicy meat and vegetables seasoned with special Japanese powder, wrapped in dough and served on an iron sizzling plate for that perfect crisp
Ramen Nagi has a Limited King variant that changes once in a while. During our visit, it was their Limited Curry King.

We decided to try their sizzling gyoza, but it was too peppery for my liking.
Ramen Nagi Menu:
Ramen Nagi has a Limited King variant that changes once in a while. During our visit, it was their Limited Curry King.
We all felt full after finishing our bowls. I guess it's because of the generous amount of noodles coupled by a very rich and flavorful broth. Their soup base was really rich.. For me, they definitely have the richest ramen broth among others I've tried. Expect classic and unique ramen flavors that you can only find in Ramen Nagi. I'm no ramen aficionado, but my visit to Ramen Nagi was certainly one for the books!
