My blog may be 80% about food and restaurant reviews, but it's also interesting to write about other things I love once in a while. That is why when Daiso invited me to check out their Kawaii Fashion Festival and shop some items for myself, I just couldn't contain my happiness. 

When I hear of kawaii, the first thing that comes into my mind is Japan. I have very little fascination about Japanese pop cultures and trends like anime, manga and cosplay, but I find them cute and adorable. 

Shopping at Daiso is just like that. Everything is just so cute and lovely.

My first shopping finds are something for my hair. I am a low maintenance girl when it comes to my hair, that I seldom go to salons for treatment and haircuts. But I just want two things: SHINE and VOLUME.

Lucky for me, Daiso just had the perfect solution for my long, thin and limp hair.

Daiso Japan Philippines Celebrates Kawaii Fashion Festival (March)

Kichitora of Tokyo- Small Ramen Sets at Glorietta 5, Makati

Does this look familiar? That's because it's the "lucky tiger" from Kichitora. We visited their second branch in Glorietta 5 last month for another ramen fix. This time, we were set to order new ramen choices we haven't tried before- Paitan Chicken Zenbu No Se and Tan Tan Mien. 

It's nice that they offer small ramen sets for a complete meal of appetizer, ramen and dessert.

Ramen Nagi Manila- Butao, Black, Green and Red King at SM Aura

Wuhoo! Was finally able to try the much-raved about Ramen Nagi in SM Aura with cousins and friends one Sunday lunch.

Ramen Nagi is in the Sky Park located at the fifth level of SM Aura. As usual, the waiting list was crazy, but table turnover was pretty fast. Our group of 10 agreed to split tables- 4 and 6.

Since there were 4 of us in our group, we decided to get a different ramen variant for each. We were given an Omotenashi Sheet wherein we could customize our ramen based on the following: Ramen Choice, Soup Base, Toppings, Spiciness Level, Hardness of Noodles and Add Ons. I got the famous Black King w/ a Tamago add on.

Black King (P410+P50/tamago)- fragrant blackened garlic and calamari ink in a silky broth with succulent chasu, finished with a ball of minced pork, black sesame and Nagi spices

Huat Pot All You Can Eat Hotpot Restaurant- Wilson, San Juan

There's a new all you can eat shabu-shabu in town called Huat Pot!!

It's located on the second floor of Metro Pointe Center along P. Guevarra in San Juan. It's also near Teatap Cafe and Yen Yen Taiwan Street Food along Wilson.
