ItsBeryllicious Travels: Bridal Shower in Guam, USA (June 10-13, 2017) #HereGuamTheBrides

Last December two of my high school friends finally tied the knot with their significant others. This post has long been overdue, but finally I was able to write about it now and dedicate this post to them.

June last year, I went to Guam with my high school barkada for an exciting getaway and surprise for our bride-to-be friends. After Korea, Hong Kong, and Cambodia, finally, JabbsnMills goes to the US! (even though it was just 4 hours away)

Took advantage of a seat sale from Cebu Pac, and were able to score round trip tickets for only P4200!

We arrived at A.B. Won Pat International Airport around 10am, picked up the car from the rental, and went for early check-in at Bayview Hotel in Tumon.

First order of business: Lunch at Meskla Dos for some chamorro fusion burgers and bbq.

Headed back to the hotel to rest before going to The Beach at Gun Beach. We initially planned to stay at Tumon beach, but later opted for the much peaceful and relaxing Gun beach.

We almost had the whole place to ourselves, away from the touristy shores of Tumon.

We stayed until sunset and went back to the hotel around dinner time.

Since everyone was tired from the day, we just walked at a nearby restaurant called Chamorro Bbq & Seafood for dinner. Turned out, it was one of the best dinners we had in Guam. Must tries are their Chamorro Fried Rice and Coconut Mango Crab and Seafood.

Woke up early the next day for breakfast at one of the top restaurants in Guam- Pika's Cafe.

The place was packed early in the morning, with mostly tourists enjoying their cup of coffee and Pika's famous Loco Moco.

First on our itinerary was Two Lovers Point (Puntan Dos Amantes) in Tamuning for an overlooking view of Tumon Bay.

Entrance to the park is free, but if you want to go further to the Lookout Point, there is a $3 admission.

There's a statue of a "two lovers" near the entrance, that symbolizes the eternal love of the couple from the "Legend of the Two Lovers".

We bought our tickets and headed to the lookout point. Another attraction at Two Lovers Point is the Heart Lock Wall, which reminds me of the Love Locks at Namsan Tower in Seoul, Korea.

We didn't stay long as it was a really hot day, and the brides to be weren't in the mood for another sunkissed look. Plus, we really wanted to go back the hotel to prepare for the surprise bachelorette party scheduled for that night.

Good thing the brides wanted to take a beauty nap, a signal for the minions to finally do their work.

Food and drinks, check. Program and games, check. Balloons, props and decors, check, check, check!

As dinnertime approaches, we decided to eat at the nearby Fuji Ichiban for a quick ramen fix.

Went back to the hotel and continued with some finishing touches, and finally, #HereGuamTheBrides.

It was night of fun and laughter- one too many shots were taken, forbidden question answered, wild imaginations unleashed, but most of all, everyone had an amazing time cherishing the last few months of their friends' singlehood.

Of course, there will always be that one special person who gets drunk and hits the bed before midnight.

Our last day in Guam was allotted for shopping at Guam Premier Outlets.

But first, lunch at Jamaican Grill. I recommend getting their family platters which can feed 6-8 people.

It was a very productive day for the shopaholics, and everyone went home happy with their amazing steals and finds.

We had our dinner at the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel, which apparently is one of the top restaurants that serve good steaks in Guam- Delmonico Kitchen & Bar. Everyone raved about the Rib Eye, Da Bone and Creamy Seafood Fettuccine.

It was a heavy supper so we decided to walk it off and do some last minute shopping at the nearby malls.

Can't believe 3 days have gone by so quickly, and we were set to go back in Manila the next day. Time truly flies fast when you are having fun, especially with friends who you get to experience some of life's greatest moments and milestones.

Congratulations Bern and Kaye! Wishing you all the best and happiness, as you move on to the next chapters of your lives. You know we love you both! XOXO
