After receiving my Bistro Group Premiere Card, I knew that I'd soon be dining in Bistro Group concept restaurants more often. Who wouldn't? The card is packed with awesome dining benefits!
To baptize my card, we decided to dine in Watami- one of Bistro Group's newest addition to their concept restaurants located in the New Glorietta Mall.
Salmon Sashimi (P225)
Fresh slices of Salmon Sashimi on the table. Since I don't eat salmon sashimi, my parents were more than happy to get my share.

We decided to get the whole order of Watami Salad, but was a little disappointed with its size. Somehow, the actual dish and the photo from the menu looked different. I knew there was something lacking in there. Nevertheless, the greens were crisp and fresh. I still loved the overall taste.
Deep Fried Tofu w/ Tempura Sauce in Stone Pot (P175)
I'm a big fan of tofu and this one did not disappoint. Big cubes of soft and firm Japanese tofu served in a hot stone pot.
Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki (P295)
The Hiroshima-style Okonomiyaki is a sizzling plate of the famous Japanese pancake mixed with assorted veggies, meat and seafood topped with bonito flakes. The sauce was sweet and savory, making the dish extra flavorful too.
Nagasaki-style Ramen in Pork Broth (P295)
My dad's order. I bet it was good, he didn't even bothered to share. :(
Pepper Beef Rice in Stone Pot (P190)
A must try in Watami! For its price, I would say that this Pepper Beef Rice is quite a steal. Serving size could fill up one hungry tummy. And the best thing of having it in a stone pot? Of course, the crispy toasted bottom-Socarrat.
Beef Rice Bowl w/ Hot Spring Egg in Tokyo Style (P195)
The classic Gyudon served with the perfect hot spring egg (onsen tamago). Another beef rice bowl that we tried, but this time it was served in a regular bowl. I'd still go for the Pepper Beef Rice though.

ReplyDeleteinteresting dishes and restaurant. i likethe tofu dish because i am a vegetarian. the other dishes looked good, as well, especially if the meat and eggs were picked out.
