Bellevue Manila's Chef D' Asie- A Five-Star Buffet Experience in the South

Opened in January 2003, Bellevue Manila boasts to be the first full service hotel in the Southern Metro.

We're not from the South so we were hoping that our first visit in Bellevue would be worth the drive.

If Sofitel have their Spirals, Shangrila have their Circles and Heat, Dusit have their Basix, Manila Hotel have their Cafe Ilang-Ilang...

Well, Bellevue, have their Cafe D' Asie - an international selection of buffet dishes ranging from Asian to Western cuisines.

The place was very sophisticated with elegant details and designs.

The ambiance was very relaxing and quiet. Just the perfect place to get away from the busy life of the cities.

P550 for a Peanut Butter and Banana Smoothie?!?!
We started off with the soups:

Sour Shrimp and Vegetable Soup- Sinigang

Look at those huge pieces of SHRIMPS!!!
Cream of Spinach

Loved this soup! Went back for a second serving after my first bowl.
2 Refillable Iced Teas
Moving on with some appetizers...

I loved this since it had cream cheese on it.
Chicken Lollipop with Special Dipping Sauce
So love the Salmon Carpaccio!!

Salmon Carpaccio, Cold Ham, Smoked Bangus and Tuna
Salad and Shrimp Cocktails

Salami and Prosciutto
Shrimp Cocktail
Healthy Plate
 Travelling to the Middle East..
Naan Bread
Curried Chicken with Samosas

The Chicken Curry was surprisingly good. A must-try! It was somewhat sweet and you won't actually taste a strong curry flavor.

Under The Sea...
Fresh Seafood

Love Under the Sea
Sushi Platter

Tempura Station
Salmon Sashimi and Baby Octupus

Main Dishes

Garlic Crusted Grilled Pork Belly

Maya-Maya with Lemon Caper Froth

5 Spice Roast Chicken with Orange and Ginger Sauce

Deep Fried Lapu-Lapu with Mango Sauce
Agedashi Tofu

Fusilli Al Forno

Garlic and Honey Pork Fried Rice

The main dishes were superb! There were only few choices but everything was delicious.
Quality over quantity as some people say.

Roast Beef Carving Section

There were a lot of sauces and gravy to choose from such as the shallot gravy sauce, teriyaki sauce, gravy with rosemary, gravy with basil etc..

Forgot to take some pictures of the sauces though.

Mongolian Station

Chinese Dimsum & Dumplings Station

Yes, he took everything for himself. Look at his "Siomai is my Favorite" face.
And he wanted more.
Me enjoying my steak
 The Grilling Station

We were so full that we weren't able to try the pick & grill station.

But then again, there's still room for some Sweet Encounters!

Strawberry Shortcake

Doughnuts and Toppings
Chocolate Fondue
Assorted Pastries

Almond Lychee

Fruit Corner

Halo-Halo Corner
Crepe Station
Dried Mango Rinds

Cafe D' Asie's selections may not compare to the number of dishes served at Spirals or Circles, but they definitely know what Quality Food truly mean.

No wonder Cafe D' Asie is one of Philippine Tatler Best Restaurants.

Our trip to the South was definitely worth it!

    1. We only paid P650 per person since it was from a groupon site. I think their regular rate is 1300+ :)
