Kandle Cafe- Asian Fusion Comfort Food and Coffee in Mother Ignacia, Quezon City

There may be a lot of cafes and coffee shops opening here and there, but only a few really invest on the interior and ambiance- Kandle Cafe is one of them.

Stepping inside the cafe, everything seems to be well-thought-out. From the interiors, decors and furniture, down to their menu, everything looks interesting and worth checking out.

One menu item that caught my attention was the Mr. Egoy and Ms. Eggy Pasta (P240). It is fresh squid ink pasta sauteed in smoked bacon and onion, light cream sauce, 63 degree poached egg, garnished with crispy bacon and toasted pan de mie.

I loved the play of textures and flavors on this dish. The egg was poached perfectly, while the bacon adds a smoky touch to the thick cream sauce that coats the pasta nicely.

Kandle Cafe's Bulgogi Sandwich (P210) is homemade marinated sirloin beef with savory Korean bulgogi sauce, topped with pickled julienne carrots, and roasted sesame seeds.

The French toast-like sandwich was exceptionally huge, filled with generous servings of beef, with crispy potato fries on the side.

For burger lovers, the signature Kandle Burger (P250) is definitely a bang for your buck. It is 100% pure beef patty stuffed with cheesy red pesto, drizzled with red char and green char sauce, sauteed onions, tomatoes and greens.

The burger patty, although huge and chunky, could be a little more moist and juicy. I love the addition of egg inside the bun, and the side of purple and orange sweet potato fries.

For healthier options, Kandle cafe has this pan-fried Salmon (P370) with side salad and lyonnaise potatoes.

Being more of a tea drinker, I opted for this creamy Moroccan Mint Tea Latte (P150). It was warm and comforting, but I expected a stronger taste for my cup.

This Cold Brew (P150) is a simple yet refreshing way to get your coffee fix.

My personal favorite at Kandle Cafe is their Mr. Egoy and Ms. Eggy Pasta. But more than the food, I really liked the ambiance and overall feel of the place. It is an ideal place for solo hangouts, or even for quick catch up with friends. Will definitely go back and try other food offerings soon!
