Kumori Japanese Bakery has recently opened its first full scale cafe in SM North Edsa- Cafe Kumori. This is in addition to their original kiosks in Landmark and SM Makati, to address the growing demand for cafes, and at the same time, give their loyal fans a chance to enjoy their freshly baked breads while sipping on a cup of coffee, milkshake or tea.
Being a huge fan of their soft fluffy breads, Toyohashi Pudding and Signature Hanjuku Cheesecake, I was ecstatic to receive a box of Kumori's bestselling pastries, featuring their new rustic bread variants-the Cranberry Yuzu and Ciabatta.
Cranberry Yuzu (P78)- a white bread with a soft and fluffy interior, and a crispy rustic outer layer.
It is infused with some citrusy yuzu, and tart cranberries.
Ciabatta (P48)- a slightly flattened white bread with a fluffy interior and a rustic and crispy out layer.
Aside from these new rustic breads, I also got to try some of Kumori's bestselling soft and fluffy breads.
Crabstick Bun (P58)- a soft bread bun topped with kani and corn mixed with Japanese mayo dressing
Crabstick Bun (P58)- a soft bread bun topped with kani and corn mixed with Japanese mayo dressing
Custard Butter Bun (P45)- a soft bread bun with rich egg custard and milky buttercream filling
Apple Cheese Danish (P59)- a flaky Danish pastry filled with cream cheese, topped with apple preserves
All these bread selections will also be baked on site when Kumori opens their 4th branch at the new wing of UP Town Center this coming July 2016. For those who can't seem to find time and visit one of their branches, you can now #BiteIntoTheClouds and order your favorite breads and pastries via Kumori's official online ordering and delivery partner- Zomato.
