Cedar Salon Balayage with Schwarzkopf Professional in San Juan #MeTimeAtCedar

Some people say: Your life may not be perfect, but your hair can be. Hair is often referred to as the crowning glory of a person, hence, it must be well taken care of . One cardinal rule with women: no one is allowed to rush, interrupt or cheapen her salon experience. Women understand how 'holy' and precious these hours of beautifying/pampering themselves are, to help build self-confidence, and at the same time, improve one's state of well-being.

I am guilty of breaking this rule most of the time. Aside from having the lame excuse of "not having time", I don't think I'll be able to give my 100% trust in someone to cut, style, or color my hair other than myself. Yes, I've been cutting and coloring my hair on my own since college. I just feel more secure when I personally do my hair as I know that should anything go wrong, there's no one else to blame but myself.

Finding a good hair salon for hair coloring services can be quite difficult- you have to consider the products they use and the expertise of their hairstylist. Fortunately, Cedar Salon in Wilson, San Juan attempts and succeeds to fit the bill. No more worrying about color damaged hair as Cedar Salon only uses products made and used by professionals. Coupled by a team of highly trained hairstylists, one can fully surrender to an ultimate relaxation and holistic pampering experience.

I did not try their cut and style services, but I opted to have a Bayalage hair color using Schwarzkopf Professional products. I was asked to choose from their Igora Royal color chart my preferred hair color. It always helps to bring a peg photo to salons so the hairstylist could know what color you want to achieve. Ate Eva, my hairstylist, personally chose the colors for my hair after seeing the photo I showed her.

She started with a base color of medium blonde using Schwarzkopf's Igora Royal Metallics shade 7-16. Waited for around 30 minutes before washing my hair, and then finally applied Schwarzkopf's Igora Royal shade 12-2 for the bayalage highlights.

The result was impressive and I very much liked it! It still maintained the natural color of my hair, with streaks of highlights creating a soft balayage effect. What's even better is that my hair did not get dry at all. I usually get dry hair after coloring so it is important to condition it everyday. Surprisingly, my hair remained soft and manageable even after several days.

Here's a before and after photo of my hair:

Thank you Cedar Salon for my new hair color and for the Schwarzkopf Professional BC Bonacure Shampoo and Conditioner! :)
