Asian Twist Fusion Restaurant-Asian Cusine with a Twist

Don't you just love fusion restaurants? I do. Not only because we get to choose different cuisines in just one restaurant but also because it is the perfect go-to place whenever I'm not craving for anything specific.

Thank God for the day we've discovered Asian Twist Fusion Restaurant. We've been here several times and never was a time were we dissatisfied.

The green and white theme of the place gives off this cool and relaxed feeling of dining. Photos of some food selections are hung on the wall giving their diners an idea of what the dishes would look like. Their menu also includes beautiful photos of the food which is a big help for me in choosing what items to order.

Now for the food:

They really have a lot of choices on their menu

One thing not to miss in Asian Twist is their Bibimbop. We did not expect much of it since this was not a Korean restaurant we went into.

Served in a hot stone bowl of rice and assorted toppings, Asian Twist has by far the best Bibimbop I have tasted.

You may choose from different flavors ranging from Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Filipino style bibimbop whatever suits your taste.

On our first visit, we got the Fish Fillet and Vegetarian Bibimbop.

It will be served hot on your table and the waiter would gladly assist you in mixing up the bowl.

Fish Fillet Bibimbop (P220)- fried cream dory fish drizzled with sauce on top of a hot steaming rice with assorted vegetables and egg

Bugis- Freshly Made Singapore Street Food

Ever had that feeling of watching the Asian Food Channel and you just wanted to go to Singapore and try their hawker food? Well, I had..Several times.

Singapore is known for its hawker stalls and centers that sell a variety of inexpensive and delicious street food. There's just something in street food that always piques my interest just like here , here and here.

We've already tried Thai and Taiwanese street food, and now it's time for some Singaporean delights.

Recently discovered a new restaurant along Nicanor Roxas near Banawe called Bugis- named after a street in Singapore famous for affordable goods and inexpensive mouth-watering hawker food.

An order of their Singaporean Laksa is a must in Bugis. Served in a hot steamboat, it comes with different toppings such as eggs, shrimp, tofu, sprouts, and some of their main products from Singapore- DODO Seafood products.

Singaporean Laksa (P180)-  smooth and thick rice noodles in rich and spicy coconut-based soup

We love how it was placed in a steamboat with fire constantly burning underneath to keep everything warm. It was actually boiling the moment it was served to us.

An order of their Laksa could already be shared by 2-3 people. You may request for some extra soup since it dries up easily due to the continuous boiling.

Sonya's Garden-Weekend Getaway in Ford Fiesta

Last week, D surprised me with a message from the Scene Stealer herself, Lissa Kahayon. It was a message about winning her Cutest Couple Giveaway sponsored by Ford Philippines. I was surprised and ecstatic at the same time since I was the one who told him that I wanted to join that contest. But due to the deadline posted, I was not able to join. Little did I know, he submitted his entry just in the nick of time.

Here are the winning entries chosen by Lissa and Ford.

You see, D and I wanted to have a trip to Tagaytay ever since and this was like a wish come true.

Our Proposed Itinerary:
9:00am - 9:30am- Vehicles on stand-by
10:00am - 10:30am- Meet up in Ford Global
10:30am - 12:00nn- ETA- Sonya's Garden Tagaytay
12:00nn - 2:00pm- Lunch / Leisure Time
2:00pm - 4:00pm- Spa Treatment ( Lemongrass or rose-scented aromatherapy steam bath, foot spa, manicure and pedicure, Sonya's Signature Massage )
4:00pm - 5:00pm- Leisure Time
5:00pm- Depart from Tagaytay, Drop off in Ford Global

After seeing the itinerary made by Ford Philippines, our hearts screamed and jumped for joy. It's like they read our minds on where we wanted to go.

We arrived at Ford Global around 10 am and since we were the first couple to arrive we got the privilege to choose which color of Ford Fiesta we prefer.

We got the blue car which had white racing stripes on it. The other colors were black and white.

A few minutes later, Lissa arrived with her date. Followed by Zeti and Mickey, the other couple who also won the promo.

Finally, we're off to Tagaytay! :)

Summer is hotter with Banana Boat Sunscreen Lotion, Schick, & Nuffnang

My Ideal Nuffnang Summer is spending it anywhere with my family.

Whenever the time steps into the season of summer, it’s inevitable to hear people organizing their summer getaways either with their family or friends. Some people would really love to spend their vacation on a warm breezy environment just to have a relaxing time away from their usual busy schedule. However for some, they tend to enjoy and have fun at the beach as the sun shines into their skin and the sands felt between their toes.

Spending the summer with my family at the beach is on the top of my list and going on a road trip out of town follows next. Either way, I bet that any activity we choose is going to be fun!

But as we all know, summer sun always equals to sunburns and dry skin. So don't forget to bring your  sunscreens from Banana Boat to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. And Schick products to leave your skin soft, smooth and moisturized all day long.

Everything at Steak- Family Steakhouse

The first time I have tried Everything at Steak, I was quite surprised with their extensive menu. I was expecting to see only T-bone, Porterhouse, Ribeye and other usual steak for grilling that I could think of. But no, those are not the only food they serve.

I was also impressed with the place. It was neat and dainty as opposed to my initial notion of what a steakhouse should look like. It was bright and cozy with a warm homey ambiance.

Starting off with their salad- the classic Caesar's Salad (P125) was a mix of fresh lettuce, bacon bits, croutons and cheese in honey mustard dressing. Nothing extraordinary but at least the greens were fresh and crunchy.

Peanut Butter Company-Katipunan

As a kid, I've always loved peanut butter. I'm one of those who would actually eat peanut butter from the jar. It's so addicting that once you've started digging in, it's just so hard to stop. Right? :)

But it's been years since I last did that and visiting Peanut Butter Company made me remember those times again.

The place was simple and neat with bright lights and white chairs. During our visit, most of the customers were students probably doing some projects with their laptops.

A small shelf could be found in the corner where all their peanut butter creations were displayed.

They have this big menu board just above the counters making it easier to view their food choices.

First, we got ourselves their famous BBQ Wings (P165)

The wings were coated in a sweet barbecue sauce that tasted similar to McDonald's barbecue dip for their chicken nuggets.  I love how rich the sauce was and the drizzles of peanut butter helped to enhance the flavors of the wings.
