An initiative of Brew Your Best Year, the brand has put together a Business Bootcamp for Kids, designed to teach kids the basics of business in an interactive and experiential way. It is a two-part activity that aspires to mold the youth into becoming the next generation of entrepreneurs who will continue to pave the way for a stronger economy.

Battle of the Best Salted Egg Potato Chips in Manila

By now, I'm pretty sure people are still looking for the best salted egg potato chips in Manila. The addicting snack from Singapore has taken over facebook and instagram feeds of foodies from around the metro, with the quest to find the best in town.

Last week, my salted egg-loving friends joined me for a fun and exciting taste test of the newest snack trend in the country. I found more than 10 brands around, but was only able to get a hold of 7 due to unavailability and inaccessibility of the other brands.

This review is based on a blind test by 5 participants. It was nice to hear different and contrasting comments from everyone, setting aside favoritism and bias. We placed the chips on small cups, with only 2 people knowing what the brands were. Although some were dead giveaways due to the color, we still enjoyed the guessing game.

FAT Restaurant- Bold and New Dishes To Try in Forbes Town Center BGC

FAT-the name may raise a few eyebrows. Why would anyone like to enter a place that sounds like they'll be few pounds heavier as soon as they leave? I'm pretty sure some people won't mind, but conscious and healthy eaters might think twice about stepping inside the restaurant. 

We finally visited FAT Restaurant in Forbes Town Center, BGC, ready to face the consequences of our decision. As they say, you either go big or go home, and we definitely went to FAT to stay.

We learned that the menu at FAT changes once in a while, to give loyal patrons something new to look forward to every time they visit. Of course, best-sellers such as the Green Tea Chicharon, FAT Poutine, Salmon and Uni Pasta, Duck Burger, and Moroccan Spiced Chicken are regulars on the menu.

The Dessert Kitchen 甜品工房 Hits the Sweet Spot in Powerplant Mall, Rockwell

After our Ooma-licious dinner, we went to The Dessert Kitchen in Powerplant Mall for dessert. Their menu was quite extensive, and each dessert category seemed to have something I fancy. It was so hard to resist their bestsellers, and since we don’t frequent Rockwell that much, I decided to go all in despite being too full from everything we had at Ooma. 

First on the list was The Dessert Kitchen’s top bestseller- The Purple In Love (P258).

D have tasted this before and didn’t like it. Since I badly wanted to try, I still got one, even if it meant having to finish the order all by myself.  

He kept insisting that it tasted like cough syrup that’s why he didn’t like it before. But when I tried a spoonful, I told him it actually tasted like my favorite grape juice. He tried it again, and this time, he agreed.  Suddenly, he’s all ok with the taste.
