KFI Snow Non-Dairy Whipping Cream- Pastry Making at Galastar Culinary School

Snow: The Art of Pastry Making event was held last November 7, 2015 at the Galastar Culinary School. The event showcased the effectiveness of Snow Non-Dairy Whipping Cream by inviting 7 participating chefs to create their own delightful pastries. The challenge of the event was to use at least 240ml (1 cup) of Snow whipping cream to their dessert recipes with basic kitchen equipment and ingredients provided to all participants. Lastly, all seven chefs were given a time limit of 1 hr and 30 minutes to finish their creations.

Tebeemini Corporation, the exclusive distributor of SNOW non-dairy whipping cream in the Philippines also invited four evaluators: Chef Ernest Gala, Chef Allen Camacho, Chef Dandyllon Dumillon and TBMN President Mr. Teddy Ong to first-hand experience, taste and evaluate the participants' recipes.

All seven chefs gave their 101% effort during the event however only three chefs dominated in the category of Design, Creativity and Taste.

Chef Mary Anne Ramos took the Best in Design with her colorful and visually appealing “Strawbery Panna Cotta w/ Strawberry Chantilly”. She was able to show that SNOW is both stable and versatile.

Chef Kathrine Donila won the Best in Creativity category with her two recipes “Fruit Basket and BanaCara Cream Crunch”. Her craftsmanship and uniqueness stood out as she proved that SNOW whips quickly by being able to bake 2 pastries in just 1 hr. and 30 min. Now, that’s Creative!

Chef Gabbi Flores won the Best in Taste category with her recipe “Chocolate Tart”. She was able to maximize SNOW’s sweet taste to her advantage among the rest.

While only three chefs were chosen as winners, the other chefs proved how SNOW non-dairy whipping cream helps making desserts easier and tastier. Chef Leonor Chua with her recipe “Surprise Cookie Cake”, Chef Roxanne Almendral with her “Almond Blueberry Cake”, Chef Chris Evert Enriquez with her “Fruity Vanilla Cake”, and Chef Wren Go with his “Lemon Custard Tart”. 

According to Chef Ernest Gala, a culinary chef icon and evaluator during the event, “Snow Non-Dairy Whipping Cream is an excellent ingredient to have in your kitchen because it is stable, whips quickly, has the right amount of sweetness and versatile”.
