Banapple Pies and Cheesecakes: Banoffee Pie, Maple Pecan & Candied Bacon Cheesecake and Strawberry Amaretto Cheesecake

What's the first thing that comes to mind when one says pies and cheesecakes?

Banapple!

It's probably our favorite go-to place whenever we crave for cakes.. cheesecakes especially.

Last month, my brother and sister arrived from China, and we all decided to grab some late night desserts at Banapple Il Terrazzo. It was past 10pm but the place was still packed with customers dining in.

What I love most about Banapple is that they have a wide selections of cakes to choose from. Everything on the display chiller looks mouth-watering that you would want to order more than you can consume.

Cakes and other dishes in Banapple are very affordable and worth it, not to mention their serving sizes for sharing.

Strawberry Amaretto Cheesecake (P110)

Being the cheesecake lover that I am, I excitedly dug my fork into the Strawberry Amaretto Cheesecake. It was beautifully baked with a chocolate crusted bottom and topped with a sweet strawberry jam and almonds. The cheesecake was so rich and dense that I already felt full after a few forkfuls. It wasn't too sweet which is a plus, and I just love the hint of almond flavor in every bite.

Maple Pecan & Candied Bacon Holiday Cheesecake (P125)

Everyone was curious about the Maple Pecan & Candied Bacon Cheesecake, so it was a unanimous decision that we order for one.

The verdict? A must-try! Never knew bacon would be a great pair for cheesecake. It was sweet and savory at the same time. The cheesecake was less dense than the Strawberry Amaretto Cheesecake with light whipped cream on top. But the real highlight of this cake was the candied bacon. It just took the sweet treat to a whole new level of enjoyment.

Banoffee Pie (P95)

And of course, we wouldn't miss ordering the famous Banoffee Pie from Banapple. To date, I'd still say that they make the best Banoffee Pie in the Metro. I love everything about it. The sweet crunchy crust, the caramelized bananas, the sweet and light whipped cream and the chocolate shavings. What else could be better than this?  My brother has an answer to that: some candied bacon topping. :)

  4. I love their cheesecakes SO much. Very rich, and it's my favorite dish cake from them. I love Banoffee Pies too, but not their version... not a fan of the amount of whipped cream that they put. :) Nice post, btw.
