"She loved me at my worst, You had me at my best.. and you chose to break my heart." Ring a bell? It's one of the famous lines in the movie One More Chance by Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz. Last December, we visited Bellini's Italian Restaurant in Cubao where some scenes in the movie was shot.
I've been hearing good reviews about the place several years ago, but it was only last year that I got to try it out. The place is tucked inside the Cubao Expo where several bars, vintage and novelty shops can be found.
Bellini's Italian Restaurant nails it when it comes to ambiance. A small replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa greets customers by the entrance, while interiors will leave you in complete awe as you go in.
We had some of their complimentary bread sticks while waiting for our orders.
Simple flavors but we loved its firm and chewy texture. I really enjoyed chewing on these mochi-like pasta balls in tomato sauce.
Tartufo Funghi Con Prosciutto (P360)
You can choose your pasta type in Bellini's, so we chose Fusilli for our pasta dish. I loved the blend of flavors from the mushroom and prosciutto, but somehow, I find the sauce too thin and runny to coat each pasta.
Risotto Fruitti Di Mare (P300)
Quattro Formaggi (P300) and Napoli (P280)

Pasta & Risotto
Pomodoro Gnocchi (P250)
Simple flavors but we loved its firm and chewy texture. I really enjoyed chewing on these mochi-like pasta balls in tomato sauce.

Risotto Fruitti Di Mare (P300)
Perfectly cooked risotto in cream sauce with generous servings of mussels and clams.
Pizza
At Bellini's, you can have two flavors in one pizza. (You just have to pay for the higher priced pizza)
Napoletana (P300) and Parmaham Arugula (P350)
Quattro Formaggi (P300) and Napoli (P280)
Thin crust, fresh ingredients, simple toppings but full of flavor and taste. Every flavor was a hit! :)
Pesce al Forno (Baked Fish in Oven)
The fish of the day- Local Seabass was highly recommended by our waiter. It came wrapped in a piping hot aluminium foil to preserve all its flavors. The price didn't come cheap so we had high expectations for the dish. Unfortunately, we weren't that impressed.
Torta Di Obama (P200)
The famous Obama Cake of Bellini's. I didn't like the texture of the cake, but taste was ok.
Torta Di Arancio (P150)
The Orange Cake reminds me of pound cake but texture was really crumbly.
Complimentary shots of Sweet Wine to end our authentic Italian feast! :)
Bellini's Italian Restaurant Menu:
I'm happy that I finally tried Bellini's in Cubao after so many years. The place didn't disappoint with its quaint and lovely interiors that will transport you to Italy. As for the food, some were great but some were just ok. You can also walk around the compound and visit some vintage shops for some unique finds in Cubao Expo.
