Remember my post about an eat-all-you-can-dessert place before? Love Desserts is definitely the perfect place for dessert lovers out there! For just P199, enjoy unlimited cookies, cakes, halo-halo, pastries, ice cream, and many more. It's been a long time since my last visit, and every time we pass by, the place is jam-packed with customers. They even set more tables outside to accommodate all their guests.
Good news to all! There's another dessert buffet in Quezon City called Gillian Gail Dessert Buffet. Who would have thought that there's a sweet haven found on the 3rd floor of Oracle Building in Katipunan.
Their rate starts at P299 which includes access to the dessert buffet, plus unlimited refill of coffee and tea.
For an additional P100 (P399), you may enjoy a rice topping of your choice (salmon or chicken) before indulging on sweets.
But I suggest you go for the P449 rate featuring Gillian Gail's signature chicken dishes.
We got the Korean Buffalo Chicken on top of the regular dessert buffet for an additional price of P150. Not bad for its taste and serving size. The chicken quarter was big and juicy! I love the sweet and not so spicy korean buffalo sauce that coats the crispy chicken skin.
After our meal, we proceeded with the dessert buffet.
A hot cup of green tea before anything else.
They gave a small sheet of paper where you can have some made-to-order desserts like this Fried Palitaw- it tasted more like tikoy with sugar and sesame seeds. It was good, but we did not want to stuff ourselves with just rice cakes.
Blueberry Crepe w/ Vanilla Ice Cream- their blueberry filling was purely jam without actual blueberries making it taste sweet and fancy.
Creme Brulee, Panna Cotta, and French Macarons..Other desserts listed were Banana Bread, Turon, Cream Puff, and Apple Pie. We liked the Creme Brulee and Panna Cotta.
Aside from sweets, they also serve Nachos with cheese sauce and jalapeno.
Siomai for those who are still hungry..
For me, I went straight for the cookie jars and got myself a plateful of lemon bar, cinnamon bar, crinkles, cookies, and chocolate truffles.
We enjoyed the warm cup of pudding topped with chocolate ice cream..
But the red velvet cupcake was my personal favorite that night. It was very moist with a strawbeery filling and cream cheese frosting. They sell this for P70 per piece.
I also enjoyed these flavored marshmallows with fruit jelly fillings.
I love the strawberry and coffee flavors the most.
They also have these colorful candies called candy mallows which were interesting to munch on. It was so addicting I ate them like nuts. They retail this for P50/50g and P90/100g. Ideal for gifts and giveaways on any occasion.
Enjoy various Selecta ice cream scoops and ice cream sticks to end the dessert buffet.
Although not as affordable as Love Desserts, Gillian Gail Dessert Buffet's rate of P299 is still a bang for your buck. Desserts worth trying out are their creme brulee, red velvet cupcake, blueberry cheesecake shooters, Korean buffalo chicken, choclate truffles, pudding, marshmallows, and candy mallows.
CHRISTMAS NIGHTS are sweeter at Gillian Gail Dessert Buffet!
From Nov 18 to Dec 21 (9PM to 11PM), you can avail the dessert buffet for just P150/person instead of the usual P299/person.
