The family spent the Holy Week in Tagaytay last April and decided to drop by Gourmet Farms in Silang, Cavite on our first day. I've read about their farm tours and lettuce picking activities so I suggested we have our breakfast at their Santorini-designed restaurant- The Dining Room.
On The Table
Filipino Breakfast- served with 2 eggs and garlic rice
Beef Tapa (P280)

Gourmet Sardines (P250)- Gourmet Farms' Portugese Sardines served with eggs and choice of toast, pandesal or garlic rice
Omelette and Toast (P220)- Florentine Omelette (Spinach and Cheese)
Salmon Salad (P250)- smoked salmon and fresh arugula with The Dining Room vinaigrette
Weight Watcher (P250)- grilled vegetables and cheese in a signature pesto bun
All breakfast meals include your choice of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Our server offered to make us some tarragon tea which he just picked from the garden outside.
Lunch buffet is also available at The Dining Room. I'm looking forward to trying the buffet next time.
The Dining Room Menu:
Diners from The Dining Room get to avail the farm tour for FREE! :) It was very informative and educational as we were introduced to various herbs and plants. For non-dining customers, avail of the farm tour for as low as P100/person only. Other activities are lettuce picking, salad demo and herb potting.
After the tour, we went to The Country Store where GFI products are being sold.
My favorite part of the store is the free sampling of all Gourmet Farms' dips, sauces and dressings. We also enjoyed unlimited sampling of their pesto and lettuce chips which are by the way sooo good and healthy! It's highly addicting I could finish one pack all by myself. For the dips and dressings, my favorites are mango vingaigrette, sundried tomato pesto, oriental dressing, basilico herb cheese spread and salsa dip.
There are a lot of things to buy at the Country Store, from coffee and tea, to freshly baked breads and pastries. They also have a lot of pasalubong items like local delicacies, souvenirs, dips and dressings, handicrafts etc.. I just love the place! They even have potted herbs for sale at The Potting Shed.
So next time you are visiting Tagaytay, be sure to drop by Gourmet Farms in Silang, Cavite for some natural and organic finds. Dine at The Dining Room for some healthy meal selections, have a tour of their lettuce farm, or shop for some local goods and delicacies at The Country Store.
