Ramen Bar New and Improved Broth- The Hub Greenfield District

Back when there was no ramen craze in Manila yet, there was Ramen Bar. You could say that Ramen Bar is actually one of the pioneers of ramen in the Metro. Just recently, we visited Ramen Bar's Greenfield branch at The Hub, to try their new and improved ramen broth.

Now, the pork bones used in making the broth are boiled longer with an addition of Abura, minced pork fat to make the broth richer and tastier.

R.B.S. #1 (P380)- tonkotsu, shoyu, chasyu, kakuni, negi, naruto

The aji tamago, seaweeds and nori were gone, but it was compensated by generous amount chasyu slices and kakuni. What I love most about R.B.S#1 is the kakuni topping which is also my favorite appetizer from Ramen Bar.

Kakuni Buns (P220)- melt-in-your-mouth pork belly wrapped in a special white bun

Karaage (P155)

The karaage is served whole yet boneless as opposed to most Japanese restaurants serving it in chunks.
Ebi Tempura (P380)

How can you go wrong with this classic dish of huge prawns coated in a light and crispy batter. One is definitely not enough.

Bikkuri Ramen (P380)- miso, minced pork, chili, negi, naruto, aji tamago

For those who want a little bit of heat to their ramen, the miso-based Bikkuri Ramen is worth checking out. It has a perfectly cooked aji tamago, slices of chasyu and spicy minced pork to spice up your bowl of ramen.

Seafood Ramen (P380)- shio, seafood

Ramen Bar also have a seafood ramen in a rich and creamy shio-based broth. There were a lot of chili on the bowl but it wasn't spicy at all.

Tempura Ice Cream (P150)- vanilla ice cream, chocolate-covered cereal, chocolate wafer stick, chocolate syrup

And the perfect way to cool down after finishing those bowls of ramen is Ramen Bar's Tempura Ice Cream.

Ramen Bar Menu:

It's been a while since my last Ramen Bar visit, so I really can't tell much of a difference on its broth. All I know is that their ramen still manages to leave us happy and satisfied like it always does. We're going to try their Mushroom Gyudon on our next visit because I heard it's really good. It's like having the best of both worlds for D as he loves mushrooms and gyudon so much!

Head over to Ramen Bar's Greenfield branch now if you want to check out their new and improved ramen broth.
